Sustainability
At The Fort, we are proud to blend history with sustainability. Our iconic adobe building, crafted from earth-derived materials sourced directly from the land, reflects our deep connection to nature. This unique structure is not only eco-friendly but also symbolizes the harmony between architecture and the environment.
Nestled on 50 acres of picturesque land, a portion of which is preserved for the upkeep of our adobe building, The Fort is committed to environmental stewardship. We've also taken the significant step of donating our land to History Colorado, ensuring that this land remains protected from development for generations to come. In addition to our historical preservation, we’ve designated part of our land for agriculture, and our horse ranch offers a scenic view, where guests can enjoy the sight of horses grazing in expansive, picturesque pastures.
By incorporating sustainable building practices and fostering a balance with nature, The Fort embraces an environmentally conscious approach that honors both the charm of the Old West and our responsibility to the planet. When you dine with us, you’re not only savoring authentic cuisine and experiencing an unforgettable atmosphere—you’re also supporting a restaurant that values the planet as much as its heritage.
