Gunny's Brandied Pumpkin Pie 

Holly's great grandmother, Gunny, from Hummelstown, Pennsylvania made the best pumpkin pie, with a few tablespoons of brandy or cognac in the batter. It's a classic pumpkin pie with pumpkin pie spices, but the little bit of brandy is the "secret sauce." Served with whipped cream or a la mode.
