A Note From Holly on Safety at The Fort

The Fort Restaurant Logo - Dinner SpecialA Note From Holly

September 2021

Dear Fort Guests,

As we move into winter, I’m excited to announce our new covered and heated portal “Grande” on the east side of The Fort, which is now open for fine dining. We will see how comfortable and warm it will be with the infrared heaters and wind screens, plus our fire pits a glow, but we’re hoping to serve outside on the warmer days of Winter! For those hearty and adventurous guests, bring your jackets! The view is always so beautiful.

I recommend that everyone be COVID-19 vaccinated for your and others protection
but it is not a mandate at The Fort, as some have medical and religious reasons not to be vaccinated. If you are NOT vaccinated, please ALWAYS wear a mask in all public places. Those who are vaccinated, also please wear a mask in public areas, but it is optional. s we move into the winter, please also remember to always wash your hands with soap, and use hand sanitizer. At The Fort, we are vigilant in wiping down menus, and surfaces with sanitizer. I have offered a $300 cash gift to any Fort employees who showed me his/her vaccination card. Plus they received a tomahawk pin to wear to show they’re vaccinated! There are over 90% vaccinated employees working at the Fort. I’m so proud of them.

Be sure to sign up for Tesoro’s historic lecture series by clicking this link to buy tickets starting in October and running through May 2022. There are also free Tesoro lectures at the Tattered Cover on Colfax and the South Suburban Recreation center’s theaters. Our dinner/lectures frequently sell out so sign up today!

We will be closed on Mondays, and our Winter hours starting Oct. 5th will be opening our gates at 5:30pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays; On Weekends: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the Gates open at 5:00pm.

The Fort is now 100% capacity, but we need to hire more food runners, dishwashers, bussers, cooks, servers, etc. as we’ve expanded our seating with the new covered and heated Portal! Our entry level positions start at $15 an hour and go up based upon experience. Please click here if you or you know someone who would like to join our Fort family of Employees!

We’re looking forward to giving you “Shinin Times!” again soon!
