Farolito Lighting & Pinecone Ceremony

The Tesoro Cultural Center will kick off the holiday season with live musical entertainment, seasonal carols and the lighting
of the farolitos. The event honors a member of the community who has enlightened the minds and souls of our community.
This year’s honoree, George Sparks, President & CEO of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
Outside event, dress warmly. Free to the public

Las Posadas
Christmas Eve, December 24, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Celebrated in Mexico and throughout the United States from December 16 to 24, the Posadas celebration commemorates
Mary and Joseph’s journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of shelter on the night of baby Jesus’ birth. The Tesoro
Cultural Center has partnered with the Christian Life Movement to present this traditional event. Complimentary biscochitos
and hot beverages will be provided. Outside event, dress warmly. Free to the public.
