UNWRAPPED AT THE FORT: UNCOVERING THE WILD, WILD WEST

The Food Network's Unwrapped will feature The Fort restaurant in an upcoming episode

Morrison, CO –For a look behind the history of famous and well known food, Food TV’s Unwrapped, gives the viewer a first hand look at the source of these products.  On Monday, April 3rd, 2006 at 7:00 pm MST, The Fort will be featured on the Wild Wild West episode of Unwrapped.  Showcasing the authentic early West cuisine, developed by owner Dr. Sam’l P. Arnold and Executive Chef Dave Woolley, The Fort offers buffalo, elk, quail as well as other Wild West favorites enjoyed by the early fur traders and cowboys.

The Fort restaurant is a replica of Bent’s Fort, an 1830s fur trade outpost located in Southern Colorado.  By preserving recipes and cooking techniques from the Early West, The Fort has been able to showcase its history along with fine dining.  The Fort has been recently featured on Taste of America on The Travel Channel as well as Good Morning America on ABC Network.  For additional air times of Wild, Wild West on Unwrapped, check your local listings.

The Fort was recently named a “Must-See Dining Restaurant” by the Rocky Mountain News, “One of the Top Five Classic Restaurants” by 5280 Magazine, “Killer Dish: The Fort Game Plate” in The Denver Post and “Best Dinner Destination for Impressing the Folks” in Westword.  The Fort is located just 22 minutes southwest of downtown Denver on Highway 8, just north of the Highway 285 intersection.  Reservations are strongly encouraged.  For more information or to make reservations, call The Fort at 303-697-4771 or book online at www.thefort.com.
