FEAST AT THE FORT WITH MOTHER'S DAY BUFFET

The Fort offers unlimited buffet featuring fresh seafood, brunch items and traditional Fort fare

Morrison, CO – The Fort will prepare a bountiful buffet featuring brunch and dinner items beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 14th in celebration of Mother’s Day.  The Fort’s historic outdoor courtyard will be the central gathering point where guests will discover tables of traditional Fort fare in addition to some new items introduced by Executive Chef, David Woolley.

Fresh from the sea, The Fort will serve Spicy Peel and Eat Shrimp, Fresh Oysters on the Half Shell sprinkled with Lemon Gremolata, Snow Crab Claws, and Smoked Salmon Lox.    Featured brunch items include Eggs Benedict “Arnold,” a poached egg atop Canadian bacon on a toasted English Muffin, drizzled with red chile-brown butter hollandaise; Migas, corn tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, fresh pico de gallo, cheddar cheese and a tangy lime crema; and Stone-Ground Cheesy Green Chile Grits.  For diners whose teeth itch for classic Fort fare, Chef Woolley will prepare Jack Daniels Bison Briochettes with Chayote Squash Gratin and Barbequed Baked Heirloom Beans; and Ginger Glazed Salmon with Cilantro Basmati Rice.  At the carving station, guests may choose from a selection of carved fine roasted meats.

The dessert buffet will feature sweet temptations including Fruit Cobbler topped with Oatmeal Streusel, Petit Fours, a sweet and spicy house made Chocolate Chile Cake,  Mango Coconut Pave, and Raspberry Mousse Cake

The Fort will open at 11:00 a.m., offering the buffet throughout the afternoon and into the evening.  The buffet, which includes coffee, tea, fountain soda and juice, is available to adults for $37.95, to children from 6 – 12 years old for $17.95 and free for children under five (tax and gratuity not included).
