DR. SAM'L P. ARNOLD

Morrison, CO – On Thursday, June 8, 2006, Dr. Sam’l P. Arnold, beloved food historian and founder of The Fort, passed away in his sleep.  He had most recently been traveling in the Phoenix area and last night he enjoyed a good dinner breaking bread, telling stories and jokes with close friends.  Sam’s daughter and co-owner of The Fort, Holly Arnold Kinney, will continue to carry on his legacy through The Fort’s business.

Memorial service arrangements will be announced in the future.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tesoro Foundation.  The Tesoro Foundation is an integral part of Sam’s legacy and is also a 501-c3 non-profit committed to protecting and making available to the community the artistic treasures of our American past.
